Are You Allowing The World to Impact Your Worthiness?
Are you tired of showing your worthiness towards your husband, friends; family and everyone around you? Are you perhaps trying too hard to gain recognition from them? Or maybe you are a person who’s caught up in trying to be someone that you are not? Do you feel like you have lost your real personality in doing all this? Well, what if I tell you that in discovering the real you and your value before God, you will engage less in time wasting and brain draining activities of trying hard to please people around you. You are worthy before God because He created you for a reason. Your existence therefore was not expedited by or through the natural process of human nature, but was a result of a replanted purpose laid down for you, to perform a positive impact within the lives of people around you. As soon as you realize this, you are going to start appreciating the person that God created in you. Tiring habits such as pretending to be what you are not in order to win people’s hearts will fade away as you grow in God’s knowledge.
People that live for the world, live for its opinions too. That’s why so many women suffer from rejection, heartbreaks, low confidence and uncertainty. Yes, maybe you have gone through a bad divorce, lost a loved one or even lost everything you have ever worked for. Maybe it feels like you’re climbing a huge mountain, with no hope of you ever reaching its peak, or maybe you feel alone and unhappy with whom you are. Today I have great news! You were never alone and will never be alone; you are the apple of God’s eye. You are worthy and you deserve to have the best in living the life that God wants you to live! He doesn’t want you to live the life the world wants you to live, because the world is not your creator, but HE is. He knows you better than you know yourself. He has given you talents that no one else has. He has provided you with a passion for something so special that only you can do, but you need to know that you are worthy of achieving the best in all circumstances.
Don’t allow people around you to tell you who you are, because that’s how Satan works. He wants you to believe in the lies from people around you so that you fail to live your dream, passion and full calling. He wants you to think that you are not worthy of the best, but I am telling you now that you are! Did you know that there are mature women who still carry the pain of the names people once called them in school? Maybe you are one of them. I was one too, until the day I forgave them. I used to be bullied by other girls in High School, because of my kind heart and my worry of what other people thought of me. Satan knew this. Remember, you are not fighting against those around you, but against the spirit of the world. Ephesians 6:12 “For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (NLT) I only became aware of this when I started my great journey with God, of which I will tell you more in my future posts.
It’s very important for you to know that your fight is not with those people that bullied you in school. When I was bullied, I was made to believe that I was a failure and that took away my confidence. They told me that I was not beautiful, and that my eyes were so big and ugly. They made me to believe that I was fat and that I would never meet someone who would really love me. They mocked me about my eyes and today I know that my eyes are the most beautiful feature I have! They threw water and cold drinks at me during our break time. They bullied me in the bathrooms, threw things at me in class, and I just never understood why. I strongly began to feel that the fault rested with me. I thought I was not worthy of having friends. I felt rejected and heartbroken and above all, I felt like the ugliest girl ever! It was during those heart breaking days that I finally met God. Through my journey with God He showed me that those girls were mere vessels that the devil was using to bring me down.
Satan knew that my calling involved the healing of a lot of women, and so he used women to hurt me so that I would be afraid to deal with them. If I had allowed this fear to control me I would’ve never achieved what God wanted me to achieve today. God stepped in and He showed me how beautiful I am! How He created me out of His image and for His glory! I needed to forgive all those girls by their names, which wasn’t very easy, but I did it! You need to do it as well! You need to step up in faith and cancel all those terrible lies that the devil has planted into your mind and look at yourself in the mirror and say “I am beautiful. I am worthy of the best! I am the apple of God’s eye. I am the head and not the tail and I am not who people say I am.” You need to stand up and ‘throw away’ those lies that have been holding you back all these years. Words are powerful and can rule over your life if you give them a chance to. Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue can bring death or life, those who love to talk will reap the consequences” (NLT) Always cancel the negative words you and the people around you speak over your life.
This is very important, the negative words and actions of those around you must bare no impact on your feeling of worthiness. Don’t measure your worthiness based on what people say about you. This will prevent you from being the best that you are. Maybe you have given up on trying to be the best, all because someone else told you that you will never be the best. Well, what if I tell you that you can, walk this journey with God and begin to see yourself through His eyes and not the world’s eyes! You can be who God wants you to be and not who the world wants you to be! God wants you to be successful and happy in every area of your life. The sooner you believe that you are worthy of being the best, the sooner you will begin to achieve positive results in your everyday life.
